Prince Edward Flags up the Paralympics

With the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games holding events in Hong Kong, what better time for Prince Edward, Patron of the British Paralympics Association, to visit.

He took a break from supporting the Games to get measured for a suit from Sam's, a regular destination for members of this globe-trotting family. We are very proud to welcome His Royal Highness, and applaud him in his efforts to raise the profile of such a fine event, along with the issues that it highlights.

Kookin up a Storm

The Kooks came into Sam's whilst they were in town, and Roshan even got to swap notes on shirts with Max Rafferty (above).

The rest of the band got into the swing of things, and Manu was getting the measure of the band, even whilst they all played together (below).

Sam Loves Sport

We were glad to sponsor Kowloon Cricket Club with a new set of Cricket Whites this Summer. They thanked us with this lovely advert. Sport is in the air right now, with the Olympics in full swing. We at Sam's are looking forward to seeing the equestrian events, held in our very own Hong Kong.

How to: Use our Measure Up Page

You may have noticed the carefully constructed measure up page on our site, but have you ever wondered how best to use it? It is fairly difficult to balance a laptop on your knee whilst measuring your other leg, so what is the secret? Today we will reveal the 5 steps to Sam's measurement happiness.

1. Download the PDF form, available as a link from the bottom of the measure up page.
2. Print it out, and rest it on a hard surface
3. Grab a tape measure, and measure in all the right places, as shown on the pictures
4. Note each measurement down on the form
5. When you are done, type up all the measurements into the Sam's website, and we will be in touch!

James Looks Sharp!

Five time Grammy nominee and winner of two MTV awards and two British awards, James Blunt dazzled Hong Kong recently with a concert held at the Convention and Exhibition Centre. Despite a hectic schedule, the ‘beautiful’ star made sure he paid a visit to world-renowned Sam’s Tailor to pick up some ballad suits. Here he is pictured with Manu Melwani, a.k.a. Sam.
